Iris was Aster's daughter who lived in the forest with her. She features in the second Arcana poem, The Magician.
Character Overview[]
When they were both 16, Aster met a girl called May, who had become pregnant. She was scared and didn't know what it meant so she blamed Aster, said she had put a curse on her. And yet she went to Aster for help. When the village found out May panicked and said to burn Aster for being a witch. Aster decided to flee with May and Clementine, her cat. They walked a long way and eventually May gave birth to a daughter, Iris, however May didn't make it. Aster raised Iris as her own, in a cottage in the forest .
They lived in peace for a while, so much so that Aster became complacent. Abraham came to the woods to murder Aster and her family so he could claim Averno for himself. Aster made it back to the cottage too late, both Clementine and Iris had been killed by Abraham.
